CANADA’S GOT TALENT Premieres

Posted: March 4, 2012

After months spent searching the country from coast to coast – Canada’s Got Talent will premiere tonight on Citytv.

Fredericton, New Brunswick’s own Measha Brueggergosman, along with Martin Short and Stephan Moccio will sit at the judges' table to enjoy and endure, delight in and debate every kind of performance...

From singers to step dancers to sword swallowers, belly dancers to bartenders and beyond.

2011-10-12-at-3.05.16-PM Halifax, NS AuditionsNo doubt the boundaries of 'talent' will be pushed to their very limits over the course of the competition.  After all “it’s the show where everything and anything is possible!”

The time slot will make Canada’s Got Talent perfect for the whole family to watch – and from all reports there is something for everyone – laughter, tears, jubilation, heartbreak …chainsaw juggling.

Host Dina Pugliese said at a recent press conference “I’m still pinching myself – that I even get to be a part of it.”

Canada's Got TalentOver 11,000 people showed up at the live auditions wishing they could be a part of it too. Another 3,800 plus auditioned on line.

Surprisingly only 542 of them sang Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” ;)

So who will win the grand prize of $100,000, a Nissan GTR worth $105,000, a Las Vegas show, and appearance at the Citytv New Year’s Eve bash will take some time to discover.

The only thing we know for sure going in – is that we’re gonna have some load of fun finding out. SABS

  1. Two East Coast Artists that auditioned here in Halifax at the Cohn were Francelle Maria, a young Acadian French girl who did a wonderful rendition of Patsy Montana's "I Want to be Cowboy's Sweetheart and Ivan Daigle who received a standing ovation for his rendition of "She Calls Me Raymond. Both artists are from N.B.

Ivan had been the 1st runner up in 2010 for the Global Country Canada talent search in Edmonton. He will be performing a House Concert in Dartmouth on Saturday March 24th @7pm. If you're interested in attending and meeting Ivan, please contact me (John) at 404-2999.
