Where’s your favourite place in PEI to grab a coffee?

Leonhard’s Bakery and Cafe in Charlottetown.  Make sure you get the FRENCH TOAST to go with your cofee and a CROISSANT to wash it all down. www.leonhards.ca

Where’s your favourite place in PEI to grab a pint?

Of Ice Cream?  COWS on the boardwalk in Cavendish.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in PEI?

Believe it or not, J&L Concrete (www.jlconcretepei.com) has the most wonderful and curious assortment of concrete lawn animals.  Might I suggest the “8 Inch Dog in Hat” or “Large Giraffe” (on request only).  If concrete animals aren’t your thing, I always find something at The Dunes Gallery (www.dunesgallery.com).

Where in PEI would we stand to see your favourite view?

The view across the bay from the dining room at the Inn at St. Peter’s is SPECTACULAR...but you should sit.  Standing would be rude.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit PEI:

1.  Have an egg roll at the Canton Cafe on Queen St. Downtown.  MUST!!

2.  Have a Captain Hook burger at the Peter Pan drive in in West Royalty.

3.  Strap on a bib at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers and don’t be afraid to get dirty!

What makes Prince Edward Island such a special place on earth for you?

I can physically feel the stress lift off my shoulders the second I arrive there.  Things operate at a slower pace – in a great way - and it sometimes takes me a day or two to gear down, but once I do...it’s intoxicating.

  4. Does Buck Watts still have his restaurant on the wharf at Tracadie Harbour? If so that's a must! Excellent fresh fish and fries!
