DAVID MYLES Into the Sun & Onto 2012

Posted: November 21, 2011

What a year it has been for Fredericton, New Brunswick born singer songwriter David Myles.

David MylesIf he wasn’t selling out shows and wowing fans he was walking away with a boat load of hardware – winning awards from the ECMA, Music New Brunswick and Music Nova Scotia.

Back in early October Myles released his fifth studio recording and his sixth album.

Co-produced with Charles Austin and Graeme Campbell in Halifax, NS - Into the Sun David Myles - Into the Sunhas a stellar sound - the response to which has been huge.

And with 2012 poised to be the most successful year yet David will ring it in long before any of us do here in Atlantic Canada – joining over 400 other artists from around the world for one of Australia’s biggest cultural events the Woodford Folk Festival.

Festival Director Bill Hauritz described the programme as “a rootsy explosion of culture underpinned by enchantment and romance.”

Sure sounds cool. Running from December 27 – January 1st Myles will be joined by fellow ECMA artists Amelia Curran NL, Richard Wood PEI, The Once NL and Sherman Downey NL…oh and an estimated 130,000 people over the course of the 6 days. Think of all of the new fans…Wow!

What a Happy New Year it will be. Have fun everyone!!! SABS
