Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a coffee?

I don’t drink coffee (have never even tasted it in my life), so I wouldn’t be able to say. But for tea, definitely Coffee Matters on Military Road.

Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a pint?

I don’t drink pints, either, haha! (maybe I’m not such a cool person, after all?) My favourite pint-serving place to go, though, is The Duke. My favourite place to go for a fancy drink is Magnum and Stein’s on Duckworth Street. There’s a magic bartender there - he looks at you, asks you one question, then can make you your perfect flavour martini.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Newfoundland & Labrador?

Tval Skincare on Water Street, owned by my friend Anna Hellqvist. I also love the newly-opened Rosie the Rebel Boutique. It helps that the two stores are almost right next to each other!

Where in Newfoundland & Labrador would we stand to see your favourite view?

Top of the hill in Upper Cove, Happy Adventure, on the Eastport Peninsula. Here are a couple photos, if you want to see how beautiful it is.

Happy Adventure, NL - Tara Bradbury

The community is named after pirate Peter Easton’s flagship, since he and his crew are said to have been the first to stop there, in the early 1600s.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Newfoundland & Labrador:

1. See my answer to the above question and go check it out

2. Visit The Rooms

3. Make a stop at The Duke, so you’ll know what everyone’s talking about when you read Sea and be Scene Cool People Profiles

I'll add one more?

4. Take in some live shows, either theatre or music. You’ll be amazed.

What makes Newfoundland & Labrador such a special place on earth for you?

I’ve lived all around the world, and I’ve never seen a more friendly or closely-knit — and talented — community than here. I still can’t believe the amount of creative, determined, courageous, hard-working, selfless, amazing, lovely local people I meet on a daily basis. It’s one reason why I love my job!
