CAUTION THIS POST COMES WITH SEASON 2 FINALE SPOILERS

After months of speculation and about a million desperate tweets…Syfy and Showcase, just this morning made it official - the supernatural series HAVEN has been given a 13-episode order for the third season, to premiere in 2012.

“The superb cast, led by Emily Rose, Eric Balfour and Lucas Bryant, along with the terrific production team, delivered a successful season in both critical acclaim and rising viewership," said Mark Stern, president of original content at Syfy and co-head of original content at UCP.

"We’re very excited to see this compelling series return for a third season of supernatural intrigue in 2012.” (source)

The tweets have turned from a steady 'great longing for renewal' to a 'great loving of this amazing news'. Here’s a few from the HAVEN gang themselves...

We here at Sea and be Scene are thrilled for 2 HUGE reasons…  

#1. The Syfy/Showcase show uses Nova Scotia in the role of HAVEN and having the cast and crew shoot here for the spring and summer months is pretty cool!  Not to mention it’s awesome to see familiar spots in the show each week.

AND

#2. Talk about your cliff hangers...

Can you imagine having to go the rest of your life with this picture in your mind...

wondering who took the bullet Nathan or Duke or someone else all together...or no one…ugh

And what about the ghosts?…

And who is Audrey really?…and who did this?  And what about that Dave????

And what’s the big deal with pancakes and waffles in HAVEN???

Seriously - so many unanswered questions…now we can sleep a little easier knowing all/most/some will be revealed in Season 3 – can’t wait!!!

   Ha, I love this article! Thank God, Syfy, the fans and the amazing cast and crew for a season 3. There was no way the show could've ended like that.
   Now, the long wait... we're talking about like 9 months? Still, it's worth the wait.

   The only good thing about the cliffhanger is that they showed a struggle at Audrey's apartment. If Nathan had gone there and it looked like Audrey had just bailed I would of been pissed.... now just hoping that my favorite two characters are both safe Nathan and Duke are so awesome in their own ways.

   I really love watching HAVEN and sooo look forward to see season 3. But i need to ask in season 2, at the end of episode that someone kidnap Audrey or Emily...what happen after that?? who's kidnap her???

   that's a question that I can't answer Nikita...I have a theory...that she wasn't kidnapped at all and that she's actually on the boat when we hear that gun go off at the end...but I don't know and like you - can't wait for season 3 to premiere! sb

   Hey Susan - as posted here http://seaandbescene.com/2012/05/season-3-of-haven-to-premiere-in-september/ the show will have a fall premiere this season - airing on both Syfy & Showcase on Friday, September 21, 2012... but I hear ya - I can't wait for the season to start myself!!! sb
