I'm a fan of COFFEE MATTERS on Military Rd, St. John's, 'cause I can get an ever-elusive almond milk Latte and they have big armchairs to overstay your welcome.

Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a pint?

If I said anyplace but THE DUKE in St. John's, I'd be hung by an army of actors, musicians, writers, and the like...

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Newfoundland & Labrador?

Sword & Steele on Duckworth St, St. John's.  Okay, it's my son's favourite place, but I've spent enough time in there to earn a free toaster.  If you are into D&D, Magic, Warhammer, comics (“graphic novels”) this is the place for you.  Or, if you're a father of an 11 year-old...

What’s the one dish you crave when you’re away from home?

I miss the fresh lobster my brother Terry (a fisherman) gives me when I'm visiting the Port-Aux-Port Peninsula.  Takes me back to my early summers.  Ah, family...miss 'em.

Where in Newfoundland & Labrador would we stand to see your favourite view?

Any place you can pull over on the Port-Aux-Port Peninsula. Especially Cape St. George. Just breathtaking views of cliffs and the freshest air in the universe.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Newfoundland & Labrador:

1. Spend a week soaking up local musical talent in St. John's. Rivals anywhere.

2. Hike up Signal Hill, sit on a cannon, and imagine what it must've been like...

3. Get out on a boat, for frig's sake.

What makes Newfoundland & Labrador such a special place on earth for you?

It's where my family are.  And where I learned to love what I do.
