A Warm Welcome – Peck Colonial House
It’s no secret – the Atlantic Provinces enjoy the full spectrum of seasons…spring with everything in blossom, summer while beaches are buzzing, fall with fantastic foliage and… winter. Beautiful in its own right – with plenty to do ‘round these parts….but let’s be clear it’s also known as the “off-season”.
So it came as no surprise – when planning a recent trip to New Brunswick (in November) our finding accommodations required a few phone calls. Perhaps it was the location Hopewell Hill that should have been a clue – since that’s where we found the Peck Colonial House Bed & Breakfast and a truly warm welcome on a cold late fall day.
Hosts Elaine and Stephen Holmstrom sat down with us to chat about their beautiful home, their many guests from around the world and how living off the land - that has been in their family for generations - keeps them busy all year round. What a lovely couple – what a great stay! SABS
SABS note of satisfaction…and sharing
We managed to load up on Elaine’s homemade jams and pickles before we left and look forward to sharing her family recipe for Rhubarb Orange Marmalade on Breakfast Television as part of our Celebrating the SEAsons this December (we’ll have it for you here on Sea and be Scene too – please stay tuned.)
