KATE THE GREAT!!!

The Loveliest Lead Up to a Landing Ever!

Posted: July 3, 2011

We’ve made no secret – the part of The Royal Couple’s Canadian Tour we’re most excited about is their stay in Atlantic Canada. We celebrate this part of the world every day so it’s fabulous now to see The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge arrive to soak it all in.

We’re confident, from touchdown to take off – it will be Prince & Princess perfect on Prince Edward Island – and we’ll bring you the events as they unfold for sure.

Wedding of Prince William & Kate MiddletonWe can’t deny though, that we’ve been glued to the goings on from the get go.  We’ve been swept up in it since THE Wedding and we are riding the Royal wave of lovely... still.

Broadcast TV and radio, print and internet news outlets, Twitter and Facebook – everyone’s been a buzz with reports of the Royals since their arrival in Canada last Thursday…time is flying by so we thought we’d take a look back at what has been The Loveliest Lead Up to a Landing(in PEI) Ever.

What follows is a ‘fashionable’ reflection of the tour so far.  From our vantage point she is indeed – Kate the Great! SABS

LOVE that Kate is wearing her ‘bird print’ dress by Issa London.

A sweet dress that she's worn before (we saw it the night before the big wedding - remember?)

Talk about the Top of the mornin'.

Unbelievably great hat fascinator and so apropos for Canada Day.

Lock & Company's Sylvia Fletcher designed this Maple Leaf inspired lid

...just one of the many made specifically for the tour.

July 1st - Canada Day Concert - evening on Parliment Hill

And that broach stayed with the Duchess into the evening...

Pinned to another Issa London design.

Kate looks lovely in purple, and both she and the Prince were sporting some serious smiles throughout the July 1st Evening celebrations on Parliament Hill.

It was indeed a very Happy Canada Day!!!

Duchess of Cambridge Arriving at Canadian arriving at the war museum in Ottawa July 2nd Reuters/Blair GableSooooo loved this dress!

Dubbed the 'Kensington Dress' this Catherine Walker design was truly flattering and the back was very modern with that deep "V" - very great!

Kate is pictured here - arriving at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.

Later the couple planted a tree to commemorate their visit and celebrate their union.

You've gotta know that little girl practiced that curtsy a million times to be on her game for Will & Kate.

Great job little girl! Great job!!!

Quebec City was the next stop for the Duke and Duchess - who this morning took part in a prayer service on HMCS Montreal

This gorgeous royal blue number (in more ways than one) is the second design created by Erdem...

Fits her like a dream and no doubt very very big for Erdem!

After events at City Hall and a community event in Lévis the couple were bound for Prince Edward Island.

  • Prince William and his wife stop for their final goodbyes (and poses) before departing Jean Lesage International Airport in Quebec City

Kate changed into this Joseph dress (a favourite designer of hers) for the trip to Prince Edward Island.

And when she touched down she looked as lovely as ever.

Topping her beige sleeveless dress with a salmon pink tweed and check jacket.
