Charlie A’Court – Caught on Tape!

Posted: July 13, 2011

It wasn’t easy, but we finally caught up to Nova Scotia’s award winning artist Charlie A’Court.  Now to be fair – the man has been busy… writing great music, touring up a storm and playing like there’s no tomorrow.

Let’s just say we were happy to have him cornered catch up to him in Canso,NS at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival.  He had just finished a blow-out blues session with Thom Swift NB, Mike Biggar NB and Hans Theesink from the Netherlands.

Charlie A'CourtWe talked about Stanfest, and got to know about his hometown of McCallum Settlement – he even gave us the scoop on some cool places to go when we’re in his home province.

PLUS – we found out about a great music series he’s hosting in Truro, NS called East Coast Songwriters Unplugged - playing every Wednesday until August 31st.  Charlie will welcome awesome artists like David Myles NB, Meaghan Smith NS, Tim Chaisson PEI and Damhnait Doyle NL.  Very cool!

We hope it’s not another year before we chat with Charlie again – good thing we’ve got his killer music to tide us over. SABS
