As you might expect - it was nothing but love for Tim Chaisson & Morning Fold last night.  Even opening act Molly Thomason was sporting their concert t-shirt when she took the stage. As for Miss Molly - @TimChaisson tweeted that she "sounds wicked".

This coming Sunday the talent will be coming from the other side of the country - Chilliwack, BC band These Kids Wear Crowns.  They've got a very cool sound - you can check out their video above.  Then make plans to see them live - for FREE!!!

No surprise - Cape Breton's Gordie Sampson delivered a fantastic performance during his show last weekend - next up another island fella and his friends.

Tim Chaisson & Morning Fold hail from Prince Edward Island and are sooooo great live!

Jill Barber and The Stanfields came to play and did not disappoint.

Gordie has a new album entitled Almost Beautiful set for release next week...and we'll have more on that coming up so stay tuned.

Now celebrating it's 17th year of bringing top notch talent to the town folk.  Six Sundays in a row - starting July 10 running through August 14th - will have sounds to suit every kind of musical taste.  Have a look at this year's line up and you'll agree - and the best part - it's FREE!!!

The 17th annual Granville Green Concert Series announces fantastic line up of performers, July 10 to August 14, in Port Hawkesbury
(Port Hawkesbury, NS) – Celebrating its 17th year, the Granville Green Concert Serieswill feature six FREE outdoor concerts on Sundays from July 10 to August 14 on Granville Street in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia.

Presented by NuStar, the Granville Green Concert Series line up for this summer is as follows:

Sunday, July 17: The Stanfields, special guest Town Heroes


Sunday, July 24: Gordie Sampson, special guest Decota McNamara

Each concert begins at 7 p.m. and concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for comfort.

“For the 17th consecutive year, the Town is proud to be working with the local business community to bring in some of Canada’s top musical talent,” said Billy Joe MacLean, Mayor of the Town of Port Hawkesbury.  “This partnership provides a rich cultural experience for our residents of all ages, summer after summer.”

“NuStar is proud to be a member of the Port Hawkesbury community, and our sponsorship of the Granville Green Concert Series is one of the ways that we give back to the community,” said Blaise MacDonnell, General Manager of NuStar Terminal Canada Partnership.  “It is an outstanding event that we have supported for 14 years, and we are pleased with the way it has grown as a fun weekly summer event for local families, and as an attraction for visitors to the area.”

The Granville Green Concert Series is produced by the Port Hawkesbury Parks Recreation and Tourism Department.
