When your new CD drops – you want to be everywhere. Get the word out, get the tunes played and get that disc into the hands of the fans. Create a buzz as they say in the biz.
Jimmy Rankin did just that with the release of Forget About the World timed perfectly with 2011 ECMA week. The man was omni-present.*
Plenty of performances, back to back interviews, meeting and greeting and indeed the buzz was BIG.
Of course it’s easy to build excitement with an album this awesome.

So thrilled we had the chance to get with Mr. Rankin – to talk about the writing process, the stars that collaborated and the "happy" he’s feeling with this project.
We also chatted about growing up in and getting back to his hometown of Mabou, Cape Breton, NS, even discussed his plans for retirement – but not to worry – those plans are nowhere near eminent.
He’s too busy with his life’s work – on tour and coming to a town near you. SABS

In my interview with Jeff Liberty – we joked around about Jimmy Rankin being “omni-present”…you see him during that piece, but he can also be seen in many other videos on the site – from fleeting glimpses to 'getting in with the band kind' of appearances. Just keep on the look-out – you never know where he’ll turn up…not that we mind.

Congrats to the winner! I had so much fun writing and the song with Jimmy...but getting to sing on his CD too....Wow :0

Thanks Patricia. Your a great singer and collaborator! Maybe you could join Jimmy on tour for a few dates, perhaps Winnipeg this summer?
