We’ve been told never to do it – but in this instance it was totally sanctioned and now after thousands of avid readers have voted – we have a winner!
Sheree Fitch’s Kiss the Joy as it Flies has won the CBC Book Club’s Bookie for Best Book Cover of the year.
There’s a lot of sweetness in this victory – as this cover is a redesign since the book was first released in 2008 AND the message of the book: through great life change comes great self-discovery and joy. So along with this perceived parallel comes more praise for the multi-award winning author.
Sheree Fitch was born in Ontario, grew up in New Brunswick, now lives in Nova Scotia (and Washington DC too). And although much has been written about her, what with her best-selling children’s books and constant critical acclaim, we thought who better 
than the lady herself to describe Sheree Fitch. So we delightfully pulled the following from her website…
