Two Mikes, One Awesome Club – The Carleton
Posted: February 16, 2011
We’ve got a unique directory here on Sea and be Scene in our Cool People Profiles and one of the questions we ask is “where’s your favourite place to grab a pint”…so many times the answer has come back "The Carleton in Halifax, NS" – and always with the tag ‘it’s great for live music’. No surprise then that it’s won Music Nova Scotia’s award for Best Live Venue for 2009 & 2010
The creation of two great creators Mike Campbell & Mike Rhodes – their Excellent X-Canada Adventures on Much Music led them to Nova Scotia’s capital for a change of direction – and, if you check their schedules these days, a change of pace for the busier.
It was great then to catch up with one of them - Mike Campbell sat down for a chat about everything from their vision for the venue from the beginning – to their wish list of artists to perform in the future.
Yes, Mike Rhodes did make a cameo, but he had far too much work to do to stop for
too long…maybe next time – because we will be back!
The Carleton Music Bar & Grill is straight up awesome – great live music, great food, great vibe - a not to be missed Halifax experience…and here’s a tip…if you don’t want to miss the great music part – get on their mailing list at www.thecarleton.ca
We salute you Mike & Mike and we thank you for your hospitality too! SABS
