The Stanfields – The Band, The Van & The New Year

It would be fair to say that we met up with The Stanfields during ‘a rest period’. Yes, we did catch 4 of the 5 members of the group on stage at The Seahorse Tavern in Halifax, NS – but their performance during our interview was decidedly more subdued than their ‘live show’.  Voted by The Coast magazine – 'the band most likely to get trashed to' – The Stanfields know how to rock a venue and then some, so it was nice to see a ‘kinder, gentler’ side to the fellas – that is Jon Landry, Jason MacIsaac, Jason Wright and Craig Eugene Harris. 5th guy Mark Murphy was MIA. The reason?  - still unknown – all we know for sure Mr. Murphy is that Mr. Landry’s got you back.

From meeting up to winning awards, video shoots and favourite films we had a grand chat – even got the scoop on the broken down van and the fan campaign to bring ‘em home.  All good stuff!!!  And to cap off this stellar year the group will join Matt Andersen, Jimmy Rankin & Gordie Sampson at Halifax's Grand Parade Square for BT’s all ages concert to ring in 2011 .  That’s a show not to missed so be there early and be ready to party ‘cause you know The Stanfields will be. SABS

We’ve got a fun “How Well Do You Know the Homeland – Nova Scotia” edition with The Stanfields – set to post in the New Year so stay tuned for that, but in the meantime if you’re looking for the full scoop on the group including upcoming shows and merchandise visit www.thestanfields.caTheStanfields-Vanguard
