Paul Hollingsworth – At Home Here in Nova Scotia

Occupation: Broadcast Journalist and Author

Place of Birth: Dartmouth, NS

Currently Resides: Dartmouth, NS

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

Tim Horton’s (but never drink in, always to go)

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?

Don’t drink and try to stay away from bars – sorry, probably not the “hippest” answer

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

Duggar’s Menswear, Halifax

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

Northwest Arm from the St. Margaret’s Bay Road in Halifax

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:

1. Camp at Keji (Kejimkujik) National park

2. Window shop in Annapolis Royal

3. Watch a hockey game at the Halifax Forum

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

It’s where I’m from, where I was born and where I chose to live. Some friends I grew up with are lawyers and doctors, others have struggled to find success. But they all matter to me. I’m keenly aware that I’m a product of my environment – and that environment and all the experiences that went with it formed me. The fact that I get to work in the neighbourhood where I grew up is something that I’m most proud of. In short, my entire identity is wrapped around the fact that I’m a born and raised Nova Scotian – and I don’t let that thought ever stray far from my mind.
