Faith, Fraud&Minimum WageFaith, Fraud & Minimum Wage is the full title and Charlottetown, PEI born Martha MacIsaac stars as Casey, a coffee shop worker whose small town makes international headlines after she discovers the image of Jesus on the outside wall of her workplace.  The film was written by Josh MacDonald NS, an adaptation of his hit play Halo and yes it’s based on those real-life events that happened a while back in Nova Scotia.

Coming up next week in Nova Scotia – September 21st /10 in Halifax, to be exact, Martha’s latest big screen endeavour will premiere at the Atlantic Film Festival.

She’s lives in LA now thanks to her latest small screen endeavour Greek (ABC Family) - she plays Dana Stockwell.

But her newest role and one which she intends to play for a lifetime is that of Mrs. Torre Catalono.

On July 10th Martha travelled back home to PEI to marry the Capitol Records Director of Video Production, whom she had met in New York back in 2008 – on a night that was straight out of the movies...(fyi - details on their wedding site are spectacularly lovely).

Of course – we can't forget her role as Becca in the silver-screen smash Superbad or the role that made her famous – Emily of New Moon...which made news this past spring when the first two seasons were at long last released to DVD.

emily of new moonEmily, Becca, Dana, Casey,...whatever her handle – you’ve gotta hand it to her. Martha MacIsaac we salute you! SABS
