Carole Torrens – At Home Here in Nova Scotia

Occupation: Owner of sugardaisy boutique,Truro, NS

Place of Birth: Truro, NS

Currently Resides: Lower Onslow, NS

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

Julien’s in the Hydrostone in Halifax, I love the atmosphere...almost as much as the toast.

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?

The Red Bird Scotch Bar, right here in Truro.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in NS?

sugardaisy boutique! (sugardaisyshop.com)

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

Omigosh - anywhere you can see miniature horses....they bring an instant smile to my face, and I’m lucky enough to drive by a little herd of them (and a ridiculously old donkey) every day.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:

1.  Sherbrooke Village

2.  Sugar Moon Farm

3.  The Anna Swan Museum in Tatamagouche

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

There is a wonderful quality of life here – we have space, we have so much natural beauty in our lakes and beaches, and we have a access to so much culture. This is where I grew up, it’s where my family is, and no matter where I’ve been or where I will go, it will always be home.
