Bill Hart – No Place Like Home in Nova Scotia

Occupation: Morning Announcer/Music Director/Asst. Program Director*

Place of Birth:  Halifax, Nova Scotia

Currently Resides: Kitchener, Ontario

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

Tim Horton’s in Eastern Passage

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?

The Rodeo in Burnside.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

Mic Mac Mall

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

The MacDonald Bridge at night, the top of Citadel Hill during the day, and beside the famous Cow Bay Moose, facing the ocean.

3 things I’ve gotta do when I visit Nova Scotia:

1. Cruise the Halifax waterfront

2. Visit Fisherman’s Cove

3. See my Mom (Maybe that should’ve been first)

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

It’s where everything that’s great in my life started.  It’s home, and forever will be.

*SABS note - I remember working with and listening to Bill when he did the drive show on FX101-9 in Halifax...(BTW - he’s crazy tall...taller than he sounds)

†Point of clarification...Bill's the one on the left!

  1. I was listening to Bill at FX 101.9 daily and met him at the station in 2008! A good friend and a brilliant radio host for sure!

  2. LOVE Eastern Passage! We stayed at a great bed & breakfast (Eastern Passage Bed & Breakfast - hi Mary!!) and visited all of the cool places - the Citadel, Fisherman's Cove, etc. Great place to say you've visited, let alone come from there!

  3. I had the pleasure of working with "Billiam" at Country 101, as it was called then, in the 90's (does that date us Bill???) and being godmother to one of his two sweet little girls. So glad that we've stayed in touch and still get together every now and then.
