Subtitled: Location! Location! Location!
I love being on set. I love the idea of movies and TV shows being made. I love the sound of the clapper and words like "mark" and "background" and "ACTION!!!" being said (or yelled). I love that there's crew everywhere clamping bounces in place or moving props around - I love the last minute hair and powder - I can't get enough of it. Perhaps to some of you reading this you've been there, it's slow and tedious work to watch, or to others you might prefer to steer clear of that curtain...let OZ just be and enjoy the finished product...fair enough - to each their own - that just means more room for me to stand and watch with the overwhelming sense of 'awesome'. The Who, The What & Whatnot
Our visit to the set included a chat with Locations Manager, Andrew Sheriden for the scoop on the many spots in Nova Scotia the series will use for Haven, Maine. We also pulled up a chair (yes, the really neat director's kind) with Executive Producer, David McLeod to get the skinny on the series and the Province's many past portrayals. We were there to see the final shots of Episode 5 (airing Aug. 6th on Syfy, Aug. 9th on Showcase). The set up was in front of Peggy's Cove resident, Roger Crooks' place - we talked to him too!
The cast and crew will continue their efforts with the series set to wrap shooting the end of August. So, if you're on the Southern Shore of Nova Scotia this summer - watch for signs of Haven happenings.
