With a career that spans nearly three and half decades ...just imagine the stories he can tell about the stories he’s told through his songs.

The feature length documentary about the legendary singer-songwriter Ron Hynes (NL) will make it's world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.

Ron Hynes – Man of a Thousand Songs will provide movie-goers with an unfettered and up-close look at the artist they know, and a never before seen profile of the man behind the music.  The film is directed by William D. MacGillivray (Picture Plant/Get Set Films Production).

And the award goes to...
In addition to 6 ECMA’s, the SOCAN National Achievement Award, a Genie, a Juno and countless other accolades - Ron Hynes also holds an Honorary PhD from Memorial University, conferred in recognition of his song writing and contribution to the cultural life of his beloved home province of Newfoundland.  SABS wonders if an Oscar might be next...hmmmm?
