Tara Oram – The Girl Next Door

Tara Oram (NL) is the Girl Next Door geographically speaking (because I’m writing this from Nova Scotia) and as the saying goes.

“No matter where I am in the world, I'm always excited and proud to say where I come from.  Home will always be home...even if you move away!” Tara Oram

Yes - I am a self professed TV junky – but to be truthful I didn’t follow Canadian Idol all that closely and so I missed her national debut in 2007.  But one late night on CMT Canada – I caught “The Tara Diaries” and got hooked on this sweet, funny, feisty and let’s not forget really talented girl from Gander, NL.  I loved how she came at the recording industry with a fresh wide-eyed wonder – I loved how she would challenge her ‘industry seasoned’ manager Ron Kitchener RKG Entertainment (how’s that for saying you know your stuff Ron) with that new perspective - and I could see he loved it too.  Sure the years have passed since those early days but that joie de vivre, carpe diem (and any other language you want to throw in there) zest for life, along with sincere appreciation of all that comes her way – make Tara Oram a neighbour anyone would be lucky to have. sb
