Living in Harmony…in PEI

Kris, Melanie, Michael, Jacquelyn Mikaela (with Leo the kitten!) and Jenna. It should be noted that this family picture was taken in 2007 and SABS can’t wait for the new picture that includes 2 month old baby Joel...and to see how much the gang has grown...including Leo.

The Atlantic Provinces are filled with talented and interesting people.  One of our goals at Sea and be Scene is to share their stories, showcase their incredible diversity of artistry and skills...and let’s be clear – entice you to visit or maybe even move here...and besides this way you’ll feel like you have some friends on the ground... by the sea.

From Prince Edward Island – we would love to introduce you to The Taylor Family... Kris and Melanie Taylor are the proud owners of the former 1846 Hunter River United Church located in the heart of the community of Hunter River, PEI. They were married there and 3 of their 5 children were baptized there - so buying the historical property that held so many historical moments for them was wonderful for their family.  Converting it into a spectacular performance venue has been wonderful for everyone who has visited the Harmony House Theatre.

Performers and audience members alike continue to praise its cozy and intimate atmosphere, incredible attention to detail (Singer Melanie Doane raved about the intricate wood carvings) and stellar acoustics.  Just 10 minutes from Cavendish and Rustico and easy to access from all points on the Island – you really should put it on your list of “must experience PEI places”.  We can’t wait to visit this summer!
